Fernando Mello

Fernando has a broad and varied career dedicated to crafting typefaces that are both inventive and highly functional. A graduate of the MATD program at the University of Reading in the UK, the EcTd course in Antwerp, and Type@Cooper Condensed in New York, he spent several years in the UK designing award-winning typefaces for global clients. He is now based in his hometown of São Paulo, Brazil. His work spans multiple writing systems, including both Latin and non-Latin scripts. With a multidisciplinary background in architecture, design, typography, and illustration, Fernando approaches type design with a keen eye for structure, usability, and creativity.

Jordan Bell

Senior Type Designer

Jordan Bell

Jordan is a Senior Type Designer and Letterer at Monotype, with a passion for handwriting, type design, and American typographic history. Originally from Texas, he studied at Abilene Christian University before completing the MATD program at the University of Reading in the UK.

Before joining Monotype, Jordan worked at Hoefler&Co., contributing to typefaces including Operator, Inkwell, and Decimal, as well as projects such as Archer, Ringside, and Sentinel Pro.
