Monotype is proud to be an official partner of the Pantone Color of the Year 2026. As part of our collaboration, we wanted to explore the meaning behind PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer via typography, a language that feels tangible to us. Monotype's Senior Executive Creative Director, Charles Nix worked closely with Pantone to select a typeface to express the Pantone Color of the Year 2026, ensuring that it reflects both the simplicity and expansiveness of PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer's message.

We’ve partnered with Pantone to give the first ever typographic expression for the Pantone Color of the Year, pairing Jensen Arabique with this year’s selection; PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer. Our partnership shows that for every idea expressed and every shade of color chosen, there is a perfect font. Finding that perfect pairing in a world of abundant creative assets means that the art of design is increasingly dependent on the evolving art – and AI – of discovery.

Typography is just as much about emotion as it is about aesthetics, and Charles tapped into this by choosing the typeface Jensen Arabique™ to pair with PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer.

This timeless yet modern serif balances the calming essence of Cloud Dancer with a hint of sophistication, giving the color an extra layer of depth and meaning.
