This MyFonts for AI Environments Privacy Policy applies to the use of the MyFonts app, connector or similar AI-related services, each provided by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal offices at 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 USA, and our subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree that we may collect, process, parse, store, retain and use your information, which may include your personal information, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as revised from time to time. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use.

What information do we collect from you?
The AI platform may send metadata to us with each tool request, such as locale, device information, approximate location, anonymized user identifier, session identifier, and organization identifier which do not allow us to identify a specific user or individual device. Our tool only requests the user query and a refined query from the AI platform in order to process user search queries and return relevant font results.
Furthermore, the query may contain personally identifiable information if you add such data to the query. We advise to not include any personal data in your AI query. If you do not provide personal data counter to this advice voluntarily in your query, we will not process any personal data from you.
How do we use the information we collect from you?
From the metadata sent by the AI platform, we may use the session identifier and the anonymized user identifier for analytics and logging purposes. We also log the user query and refined query in our analytics system to understand usage patterns and improve the performance of the search experience.
How and with whom do we share and disclose information we collect from you?
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliates. Also, we may deliver certain content for our Services through and/or using third party applications, our or third party programming interfaces, extensions that are hosted on our Services or through other third party websites and/or messaging platforms. When you use our Services, you are authorizing those third parties to receive your information and additionally to potentially share any or all of your information with us, based on your privacy or other settings on that particular third party’s network or platform. The purposes of such information exchange are:
- to conduct research and/or analysis regarding our Services, market trends, our products and other topics; and/or
- to allow service providers to provide their services in connection with some of our Services.
We rely on third party service providers to perform a variety of services on our behalf, and we may disclose your personal information to such service providers, for example business intelligence providers, customer service providers, and research and analytics providers. We do not authorize these third parties’ to use your personal information for purposes other than for which it has been provided, and we do not authorize these third parties to disclose such information to unauthorized parties.
How can you access and update your personal information?
Since we are not collecting personal information from you in relation to the AI-related query app, you cannot access or update such information. If you determine that you accidentally disclosed personal data in a query, please reach out to us and we will try to identify and delete such query from our analytics file.
Can you ask us to delete your personal data?
Yes, as described in the previous question, you can by sending us an e-mail or mail to the contact provided in the section “How can I contact you?” of this Privacy Policy. We will inform you if your data was deleted or if it cannot be deleted.
What rights do I have if I am a California consumer?
In addition to the rights set out in this Privacy Policy, California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”), provides for additional rights to California consumers. Your rights as a California consumer are summarized below.
You have the right to request additional information about your personal information, including the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the source of such personal information, the purpose for such collection, and information about how your personal information is shared with third parties.
We will not discriminate against you in the event that you exercise any of your rights as a consumer under the CCPA. If you wish to submit a request under the CCPA, please refer to the ‘How can you contact us?’ section of this Privacy Policy.
What Services are not covered by this Privacy Policy?
This Privacy Policy governs only information that we collect through our Services stated at the top of this Privacy Policy. No other Service or product offered by Monotype Imaging Inc. or website owned or operated by Monotype Imaging Inc. is covered by this Privacy Policy.
Do we collect information from children under the age of 13?
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of the Services is directed to children under the age of 13. Children under 13 should not use our Services and should not provide their personal information to us. If you learn that your child or a child for which you are responsible have provided us with their personal information without your consent, you may alert us at [email protected]. If we learn that we have collected any personal information from any child under 13, we will promptly take steps to delete such information.
Do we transfer data and do we transfer data across borders?
Because we operate worldwide, your personal information may be stored and/or processed in any country where we have a facility or in which we engage service providers, including in the United States of America or other jurisdictions. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside your country of residence, including the United States of America or other jurisdictions which may have different data protection rules than in your country.
Third parties we engage with that process your personal data outside of the EEA are contractually bound to adhere to standards that ensure a data protection standard equivalent to that of the European Union. The third parties are bound by Data Processing Agreements (if an adequacy decision or Data Privacy Framework is available) or Data Processing Agreements which include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in all other cases. Monotype complies with the Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU, UK and Switzerland, including the onward transfer liability provisions.
By choosing to use the Services or otherwise provide information to us and unless you are a consumer situated in the European Union, you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Privacy Policy will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the adjudication of any disputes arising in connection with the Services will be in accordance with our Terms of Use.

We do not have a Data Protection Officer, however, we have appointed an in-house data protection representative.
