Jordan Bell.
Type Designer.

An extended family of typefaces shaped by a common writing tool, Inkwell’s many voices are designed to give rise to new kinds of typographic relationships.
Exploring the voice and functionality of typewriter faces, Operator includes two families: one with the rhythm and character of an editorial typeface, the other designed to improve the look of code.
Initially inspired by the markings on watch dials, Decimal not only evokes the confident lettering of classic timepieces, but uses design strategies that help it master information-dense environments.
In his words.
Prior to joining Monotype, Jordan worked on a variety of projects at Hoefler&Co. including Operator, Inkwell, and Decimal, which was featured in the Netflix series „Abstract“ and used throughout President Biden’s campaign. Other projects he has enjoyed contributing to include Archer, Ringside, and Sentinel Pro.
Jordan currently resides in Brooklyn where you can find him riding his bike, eating tacos, or walking his dog in the park.
