An extended family of typefaces shaped by a common writing tool, Inkwell’s many voices are designed to give rise to new kinds of typographic relationships. 

Exploring the voice and functionality of typewriter faces, Operator includes two families: one with the rhythm and character of an editorial typeface, the other designed to improve the look of code.

Initially inspired by the markings on watch dials, Decimal not only evokes the confident lettering of classic timepieces, but uses design strategies that help it master information-dense environments.

Jordan Bellは、Monotypeのレタラー兼シニア・タイプデザイナーです。彼は、手書き文字とその現代の書体デザインへの影響、さらに初期アメリカにおける活字鋳造に強い関心を持っています。テキサス出身のJordanは、Abilene Christian Universityで美術学士号（BFA）を取得した後、ニューメキシコ州サンタフェでグラフィックデザイナーとして勤務しました。その後、イギリスのUniversity of ReadingでMATDプログラムに参加し、デザイン史、グラフィックコミュニケーション、そして書体デザインに関する知識をさらに深めました。 

Monotype入社以前、JordanはHoefler&Co.でOperator、Inkwell、そしてNetflixシリーズ「Abstract」で紹介され、バイデン大統領の選挙キャンペーンでも使用されたDecimalなど、さまざまなプロジェクトに携わっていました。その他にも、Archer、Ringside、Sentinel Proといったプロジェクトに関わっています。 

Jordanは現在ブルックリンに在住しており、自転車に乗ったり、タコスを食べたり、公園で犬と散歩をしたりしています。
