Felix Kett.
Type Designer.

In his words.

Isn’t the fact that only a few people notice the subtle cleverness of our work the most rewarding and fun part of it?

Felix Kett is a Typeface Designer and typographer from Germany. With his interest in type reaching back to early school days, joining the Monotype Studio team in 2020 was only the next logical step. He splits his professional focus between typeface design and technical aspects of font production.

Felix started his academic education with a B.A. Communication Design at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. He furthered his focus on typeface design by completing the M.A. Typeface Design program at the University of Reading, UK. This broad education allows him to view typefaces as part of a holistic design approach instead of an isolated entity.

Before joining Monotype, Felix worked at URW Type Foundry in Hamburg, Germany. There, he worked on several custom font projects. Felix also improved production processes and engineered meticulous quality assurance procedures.

Felix is always looking to broaden his knowledge by regularly attending type and design events. He has the painful habit of occasionally extending his collection of design-related books. Privately, Felix loves spending time with his wife and son or reading a good Scandinavian crime novel.
