Monotype partners with Adobe to deliver premium type to more creative professionals

Monotype and Adobe announced a partnership that makes 700+ FontFont designs available in the Adobe Typekit Marketplace and 230 FontFont typefaces available in the Adobe Typekit Library. The two companies announced the strategic partnership at this year’s TYPECON event in Boston and say “it’s all about getting more premium type in the hands of creatives.”

Creative pros love being able to choose from a wide palette of type, and having it at their fingertips during the design process is a no-brainer. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve extended our partnership with Adobe – making more than 700 fonts from the FontFont library available in the Typekit Marketplace, and adding 230 FontFont typefaces to the Typekit Library.

This means that Creative Cloud users can now select from one of the world’s largest libraries of contemporary typefaces including popular designs like FF Dax, FF Meta, FF Real and FF Utility.

“Monotype’s goal is to get premium type into the hands of millions of creative professionals, and working with industry leaders like Adobe is a great way to make that happen,” said Mike Matteo, Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnerships at Monotype. “Our partner strategy is focused on making it easier for customers to access and leverage our digital assets – whether that is through workflow improvements, channel strategies or strategic integrations like our work with Adobe. Creative Cloud is a staple in the toolkit of creatives, so integrating our typefaces at the point of design is critical. Adobe is an important partner to Monotype and together we hope to make it easier than ever for our customers to do their best work.”

Matthew Rechs, Director and General Manager for Adobe Type and Typekit said, “Adobe and Monotype have partnered for more than 30 years, and FontFont was one of the first type libraries to be a part of Typekit - even before it became part of Adobe. Now that FontFont is part of Monotype, I’m very pleased to be renewing these partnerships for the future, ensuring that we’ll continue to be able to bring this well-known collection of modern type designs to Adobe Creative Cloud users.”

Whether you’re a seasoned pro that’s worked with our type for years or a first-timer just kicking the tires – we’re excited to make our FontFont designs available in Typekit and would love to see your work. Share it with us at @bymonotype on Instagram or @Monotype on Twitter.
